The Fuhrer's Apostle

In 1943, Hitler began to see the way the War was going. He needed to make plans for the next campaign. His vision was still strong, but he was losing confidence in his generals. He decided to make secret contingencies to ensure he could start again. By 1945, he had completed the first part of his plan, but now his health had failed and he knew he would not be able to complete his vision. He needed someone who had the same burning zeal for his fatherland to take his plan forward. Erich Schreiner would be his Apostle. He was young and had the same single-minded belief as his Führer, and as a decorated war hero he had the ideal image to lead his country into the Fourth Reich. The world changed, however, and it would be three generations before a Schreiner would find the perfect riposte to the defeat of his Führer. Now the target has been identified and the ingenious means to deliver the coup-de-gras is in its final stages. Craig McAdam, an investigative journalist, goes home to Scotland to spend a quiet weekend with his parents and finds himself looking into the disappearance of a young electronics engineer. His wife thinks he has been kidnapped, but as she is receiving postcards from him the police are not interested. Do the postcards provide a series of clues to his whereabouts? Craig's enquiries suddenly take a new urgency when they converge with the plans of The Führer's Apostle.
